For all those over 30!

Please tell me turning 30 isnt that bad. I will be there in a few days and I think the thing that bothers me the most isnt the fact that Im leaving my twenties, I think its the fact that I realize all the crap I cant do that I was able to do what seems like only a few years ago...Im feeling old but a couple people have told me that hitting 30 for them was when the fun actually started, so tell me youre feelings about it as I quickly approach the big 3-0!

looking back from 40 (where I am now), 30 is when the fun really did start....if anything I've done MORE since I hit 30...my 20's were too drama-laden...as I got older, my tolerance for dumb shit got lower and lower....while my zest for doing shit increased....

in any event, if I miss it, Happy Birthday, enjoy it!!

woot! party cake

To answer your question, PurpleThunder, life is what you make it, the sum of your decisions at whatever age. As time wears on you begin to make better decisions (ideally), and reap the benefits of them. With that, one hopes, come clarity and wisdom.

To that end, since I turned 30 five years ago, I have seen much movement, much growth and a keener sense of moving along my purpose in life. It's awesome. The next five years, I believe, will be monumental.

I'm four years from 50, and I'm healthier and stronger than I've ever been. And I'm single with a good-paying job. Sh!t, with no responsibilities, my fun's just starting!

I enjoyed my 30's much more than my 20's. More self-confidence, more self-awareness and different, more realistic goals. I'll be 40 in a few months and I'm really looking forward to it.

I agree. Your 20's are totally full of drama. It becomes so unneccessary.

I'm looking at 31 in a month. Hell yeah!

It all depends on how YOU think about turning 30.
30, 40, 50,.....the only reason I paid attention to turning 50 is because everyone said it was a milestone. So we had a big celebration, then I went back to what I usually do, living and learning wink life...

I could never imagine reliving any of my age 20 years. Very exhausting. rolleyes lol (Only can I laugh now)

Age 30 was a rocky start, I let my hair grow naturally gray... stopped living "La Vida Loca" and at age 36... I feel great!

Now Terra, why on earth should you not be able to do what you are doing now? Age does not change aspects in life that quick, silly girl. It's nothing but a ridiculous myth.

I still have my agility, just tried it out last week. I can still flip on a diving board or do back hand-springs/back flips on a trampoline.

shhh I won't tell you when it lands me in the hospital. But damn it, so far, so good! lol

The best part... after a certain amount of time/experience can one even have the slightest clue, my goodnes, never perfect... but surely far more aware. thumbs up! Stop listening to nonsense. hug

Some people age better with time. batting eyes rose
