1) (to your #3) During college, I worked in an office whose secretary was constantly going on these long, unexplained coffee breaks, and it was my job to fill in for her. It was years later that my former supervisor informed me she was certain the secretary was a prostitute going out to service johns during those coffee breaks. I couldn't believe it... Then, upon reflection, it made plenty of sense.
