I enjoy tivo and it's power to skip the commercials, but when I watch live TV, I see some ads and just can't believe people get paid to come up with these concepts, let alone expect people's opinions to be swayed by them.

Car commercials. If a car commercial involves a bunch of trailer-trashy folks talking at a million miles per hour and promoting "cash incentives" to buy the vehicle, I get so turned off, I won't even turn my face towards the lot if I ever drive past them.

I mean, really. Tacky tacky car commercials irk my ass.

processed food commercials creep me out. i think the actors are all CGI or lobotomized pod people or something.

Mac commercials. The Mac guy must die.

Of course, I'm biased It's a commercial that aired during Super Bowl XL, and I'm the one doing the whistling on it.

My friend writes music for commercials, and he knows that I'm a pretty good whistler. So when he got the gig to score this commercial and they said that they wanted whistling on it, he gave me a call.

So I guess it doesn't hurt to know people!

awesome, I know a few people who have made key parts on fairly visible commercials. I know the guy who was in the superbowl aired beer commercial where he wants to pick up the hitchhiking killer on the side of the road because he's holding a case of beers. I got my voice into a Darque Tan commercial that aired in some markets (but not superbowl!)

I *HATE* commercials!

But I loves me some unsolicited Amazon ads!

I avoid pharmaceutical ads like the plague...any product that spends 3/4s of the ad explaining the side effects.....fuuuuucccckkkk that!!!!
