For those that don't know, I've been dealing with some family problems. My step dad has been sick. He is a 3 year cancer survivor and a few days ago went through surgery to have a pace maker put in because he had congestive heart failure due to getting pneumonia last winter. I' ve been in close contact with my mom and trying to help out when I can with my niece and nephew that they are raising. Well after having a conversation with my mom, I am worried about my step dad. Before he went into the hospital he asked my mom how much life insurance she had on him, he was tired of being sick and in pain. My MOTHER freaks out and says if he gives up then she will be following him soon after he dies, his only question was, "what about the kids" and he fucking responce....."it won't be my problem any more". . She said she said that to shock him into reality, but now I am concerned about BOTH of them, I mean WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! SO, I if I have seemed out of sorts,bitchy, or what ever it's been because of this bullshit. I am not using this as an excuse for my actions because I AM responsible for my self.Thanks for letting me vent and sorry Dani if this was too long I think I need to slap both my parents

I think you should tell your doctor of your concerns, if not the actual conversation, and see if the hospital has any kind of social services that you can get in touch with. I'm sure they have dealt with this kind of thing before.

Family drama like this can be so draining on so many levels. Good luck dealing with all of it.

There are times when my family can be rather high drama and I find that talking it out can help so much.

my dad was sick recently and then my mom, so I think I know what you are going through.
