NFL 2007 Team Power Rankings
1. Indianapolis Colts With their proven offense and their great knack for effectively replacing key players the Indianapolis Colts are primed to make another run at the Super Bowl and defending their crown. They are a dangerous contender. 2. New England Patriots The Patriots are poised to make a championship run. They believe they have bolstered the areas that most needed help - receiving, running backs, LB's, and special teams. 3. San Diego Chargers The Chargers let Schottenhemer and his coordinators go, so the task of bringing San Diego a Super Bowl trophy falls on Norv Turner. You have to think he has all the tools in place to make a legitimate run at it again this year. 4. Chicago Bears With a second consecutive division crown and an NFC championship in 06 the Bears look to build even more on their success. Thomas Jones leaving and the Lance Briggs impasse are testing the team chemistry around Chicago. 5. New Orleans Saints What do Sean Payton and Drew Brees have up their sleeves this year? All they did last year was churn out the top offense in the league. What a turnaround I'd say. If the Saints are going to make their first super bowl they the defense to play catch up. 6. Philadelphia Eagles How's is the knee of McNabb going to hold up? That's the big question for the Eagles in 2007. At least there won't be a QB controvery as Garcia is now in Tampa. Bryan Westbrook is looking to make an even bigger impact than he did last year. 7. Denver Broncos The Broncos finished 2006 with a sour feeling after barely missing out on the playoffs. Shanahan as usual has restocked the lineup and released the dead weight and is putting this season on the arm of Jay Cutler. The postseason could be in the cards... 8. Baltimore Ravens These Ravens won't sneak up on anyone, not with the defense and not with McNair at the controls of the offense. If Baltimore is pushing around Cinci and the Steelers then they should be back in business. 9. Seattle Seahawks Holmgren's offense and weapons were never on the field at the same time together in 2006, and he used 8 different combo's on the offensive line. With Jim Mora making the DB's better, and a healthy Hasselbeck, and Alexander back, Holmgren could take this team back to the promised land. 10. Cincinnati Bengals Which way will the 2007 Bengals go? They could win the division, or they could finish third or fourth in the AFC North. They have to win or Marvin Lewis' job status could be having some questions fired his way. 11. Jacksonville Jaguars This is a make or break season for coach Jack Del Rio. If Leftwich can bounce back from his sub par 2006 and a #1 WR steps up, the offense, with its remaining talent could and should carry its weight. Will they miss Grant and Darius on D though? 12. Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo was stellar in 2006 taking over for Bledsoe. Until they say otherwise it appears they're going with a RBBC yet again. Hamlin could turn out to be one of the best free agent signings in the off season. They should improve. 13. Carolina Panthers The Panthers are counting on new OC Jeff Davidson to turn around the a unit that vastly underachieved in 2006. They need Jake Delhomme to have a bounce back year, and a bigger contribution from the running game wouldn't hurt. 14. Pittsburgh Steelers The Mike Tomlin era is underway, and change is good. The Steelers are banking on a little change to shake up this team in 07. They have the talent to win and contend in the AFC, but will they? 15. New York Jets Mangini promised another tough training camp following the teams playoff loss to the Patriots as he weeds out players not commited to his program. The jets should be in the post season mix. 16. Kansas City Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs made some noise in the off season especially on defense, adding Donnie Edwards and Napoleon Harris to compliment what Herm wants to get done on that side of the ball, they still are a few players away on offense though. 17. San Francisco 49ers If Darrell Jackson and Lelie can step up as wide receiver threats and the pass defense improves from the basement in the NFL the Niners could be an interesting pick to make it into the NFC playoffs. I'd pick them ahead of Arizona anyways...LOL 18. Green Bay Packers With Favre returning for his 17th season the Packers have the postseason on their minds after a great second half in 06. In my opinion though the front office did little to improve an offense that lacks game breakers, we'll see if they can do it though. 19. St. Louis Rams Not only do the Rams feel confident they can put together their first winning season since 2003, but Linehan believes his team has a legitimate shot at the NFC west title. More consistency will be key to the Rams doing just that. 20. Tennessee Titans Fans and players plus Coach Fisher expect the Titans to build on their success in 2006. With Vince Young anything looks possible, but another slow start isn't out of the question either for this team. Oh and one more thing -- Release Pac Man. 21. Atlanta Falcons Petrino comes aboard at a critical time in the Falcons history. With Vick in a pickle with the law and in the prime of his career he's hoping he gets a focused team leader to lead his new offense. Throw in Arthur Blank watching over this team and who knows? 22. Washington Redskins Who is running the ball this year? Portis is healthy, but Betts put up some huge numbers last year after Portis went down. London Fletcher and Fred Smoot come in to give Gregg Williams D a boost, and they'll need it. 23. New York Giants Tiki out - Brandon Jacobs and his 16 TD's in. Reuben Droughns was acquired from Cleveland to back him up, thats a nice 1-2 punch. Eli Manning has to take the next step and become a premier QB in the NFL this year or sparks could fly. 24. Tampa Bay Bucs The Buccaneers had a turn around season OK, the only thing is, it went in the wrong direction. I'd say Gruden is on the hot seat. The offense led by Jeff Garcia needs a lot more balance, and the aging defense really needs to step up to avoid more of the same. 25. Arizona Cardinals Ken Whisenhunt and new OC Todd Haley hope to put together an offense in the mold of the hard nosed Steelers units he coached. Matt Leinart's accuracy will go a long way in determining whether or not this happens. The Cards have enough talent to make some noise in the NFC West. 26. Buffalo Bills The new regime of Marv Levy and Dick Jauron continues to re shape the roster. They've aquired players who are motivated and fit their scheme. I don't know if they can improve on last years 7-9 season however. 27. Detroit Lions The Lions roster has been turned over bigtime, and these are no longer your Dad's Detroit Lions. One thing is for sure, the Lions have to start better than five straight losses, or they could be headed towards yet another losing season. 28. Miami Dolphins Cam Cameron has cleaned house. There's enough talent to be competitive, but questions at QB need to be answered before Miami can expect to condend for a playoff berth. 29. Houston Texans The Texans are unlikely to contend for a playoff spot this year but Gary Kubiak is working hard to change that notion. Schaub needs to be as good as advertised, and the defense needs to build off of last season. 30. Minnesota Vikings The Vikes defense is loaded with talent and pro bowlers, but the pressure is on Coach Childress (An offensive guy) to turn around the inept team taking the other side of the field. He doesn't have the tools that he had in Phili. A better draft was needed. 31. Cleveland Browns The good news is that the Browns have quietly assembled some intriguing young talent on both sides of the ball. The bad news is the overhaul isn't over, and Romeo has to prove he's got control of his team... 32. Oakland Raiders Lane Kiffen is the man to lead the Raiders in 2007. He's hoping to inject some youthful exuberance and stability into a franchise left for dead. Commitment to excellence they say? Not lately... [Edited 8/26/07 20:03pm]

Nice.

StarMon said: Likewise R2zero. Hey, I want to thank you and all the other Hero's in the Armed Services for a job well done also. "God Speed" to you, and all others serving the U.S.on foreign soil. Hey it can be done, everybody's even at this point. You started out with a (-) last year, but still gained ground, so this go around you have an even shot. Your Saints are looking to get a ring this year, they're no longer pretenders, but straight up contenders so they betta' do what they do. The Crescent City should be on and poppin'this season. thanks for the support and well wishes...we've got less than 70 days left here... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Too many question marks about my G-Men. I'm especially worried about the defense, plus the whole Strahan mess. One more mediocre season and Coughlin's done.
