I've had the pleasure of knowing him since about 1994 ~ we have a rich history. One of the most recent ~ in March, I had a total knee replacement and a bone graft. Nathan moved me into his house with my dog, Paris (his dog Indigo's litter sister) for five weeks while I recovered. He and his partner (I'll leave this private unles they choose to reveal) were astoundingly kind to me. To call the time I spent there Sanctuary would be an understatement. In addition to all of the caring, nursing, emapathizing with my pain and fantastic movies we all watched, Nathan threw a gorgeous birthday party for me cooking the most fabulous pasta (his trademark dish). The accolades here are so deserved. He is light and kindness. When I hear the phrase "Wander free, gentle spirit", it always leads me to Nathan. And, he has amazing musical taste (and is a most generous sharer) and a wicked sense of humor. My Nathan. n

Nathan is an amazing person and it SUCKS big time that I have to be so far away from him.

Nathan, I couldn't ask for a more incredible brother in law. I don't think I have ever told you that you have a way of calming me which isn't always an easy thing to do, yet you do it effortlessly. I've been feeling really anxious lately so I am probably overdue for a Nathan fix.

Thank you for being so thoughtful, generous and loving. I hate that Ian and I are away from you - we cannot wait for Christmas.

That was a harrowing time, wasn't it? But ya know what? It was some of the best time we've ever spent.

You give me far too much credit. Your trip last year was definitely a catalyst and I'm more than glad that I could help you in your transition. But pat yourself on the back a little too, my friend.
