please help... if u can

All right.

I'm not a high-level poster around here, because I work a lot and have an anal boss. Otherwise, I'd be on here all day. But I love you all, an good friends with many of you, love what you have to say... and now I've got to ask you all a HUGE favor.

I'd love to lie and say I'm a skinny knockout, but I'm not skinny. I'm still a knockout though, but am pretty tall (5'11") and weigh around 252 lbs.

Now that most of you are probably grossed out, I need the rest of you to HELP ME!

I'm going skydiving tomorrow for the first time in my life. For the past six months, I've lost 86 lbs and have been working it up to do a bunch of crazy fun stuff (for conservative me): get a tattoo someday, get some more crazy piercings, go to Jamaica, Vegas, New Orleans (all scheduled), etc. I know that's not much to some, but there's lots more and I'm TRYING to stay on point here.

This skydiving adventure is the first of many events to celebrate my weight loss and practically new life. I've got a bunch more self-confidence and it shows. I was happy about it... until four hours ago, when I found out I am over the weight limit for skydiving. They don't care as long as I'm 250 lbs or under. Even 2 friggin' POUNDS breaks their policy and aren't bending an inch for me!

I haven't eaten a thing since, am not drinking water, bought a $40.00 digital scale and will do anything else you guys know of to lose these two pounds, and if possible, any more, just to be on the safe side. I appreciate it in advance and will brace myself for anything other than support... I'm used to it. Luv ya all, and thanks again!

you're a total sweetie... but I'm muscular and have gained so much muscle mass and I don't work out. I gain weight when I exercise strenuously.

So I've been walking fast, and I took two Xenadrine. Now I'm feeling pretty cracked out.

Becareful all that rapid weightloss and Xenadrine(don't know what's in it)can cause heart problems. If you can jog
do that for at least ten minutes straight if you can with no walking till after ten minutes.Learn to pace yourself so you can run twenty or even thirty minutes straight without slowing down.and you should eat something or else your body will eat on yourself.Don;t get so caught in physical fitness that you build a beautiful corpse.

Well, if you do not eat you can possibly lose 2LBs but you need to drink water. It will flush your system and not only that but it helps you to feel full. Never go without water because your body will only retain it for safe keeping once you do start drinking it after stoping. Skydiving,WOW...cool! That is my next mission. I already went bungy jumping and next mission...Skydiving! sad I hope I pull the right cord! (J/K)...Good luck! biggrin

You can't stop drinking water. Come on now. And you could at least eat some fruit. Not canned sweetened fruit, fresh fruit. Vegetables too for that matter. In this instance what you should probably stay away from is food with salt.

Thank you, and bless you... the whole problem is that water WEIGHS POUNDS!! I know water is the best thing for you and I drink a ton. I've been losing weight naturally and healthy- there's no other way. I've got a dietician. But I will have to watch my best friends flying in the sky without me... because I drank a bunch of WATER!

Agreed, you need to put something in you body so you don't cramp up.The only way to lose the weight safely is to jog. It's what the boxers do just make sure you replentish yourself after you sweat off the pounds.

Hi Jana Banana!

First of all, I want to congratulate you on loosing all that weight worship . I know from experience how hard it can be to loose weight, let alone 86 pound! I myself also lost a whole Backstreet Boy worth of weight by simply jogging.

In regards to your dilemma... I know some athletes that do not consume fruits or carbs prior to events and limit their water intake as well. Aside from sheer starvation (which isn't safe) until your event, I don't think there is much more you can do (exercise and wear light clothing?).

If you don't loose these last 2 pounds in time, please don't feel bad. There are many, many other ways that you can celebrate your weight loss. I'm sure you will loose more weight and will be able to go skydiving in time. Remember, we can have it all but (sometimes), not all at the same time.

I wish you all the best on your journey.

I gotta agree with Johnnie and 4Love. Try jogging it off. And even if it doesn't happen for you you can look forward to it next time, right? Or look forward to something else.

Hey INSATIABLE!

Congrats on all the weight loss..., glad to hear you have renewed self-confidence...

As for skydiving ... *wow* ... I've always wanted to do that, must be such an awesome feeling... I hope you have an amazing time... (they better let you go!)

Erm.. 2 pounds overnight? Well... how about a session in a sauna..(either tonight or tomorrow morning if you have the chance, jockeys swear by it!). that can definitely aid in the loss of a couple of pounds... but yeah, don't get too dehydrated... but the sauna would definitely be the way to go I think if one wants a result overnight...

Anyway, congrats again hug... and if they don't let you skydive tomorrow... there will always be the chance another time, don't let it get you down after you have achieved so much... Take care smile

It is. I found it to be a two-part experience... first there's the free-fall, which gave me the sensation of moving *very* fast, but not in any particular direction. Then the chute opens, and it's just incredibly peaceful up there.

I kinda botched my landing... after my feet touched the ground, I fell onto my knees and then onto my belly. smile

I'm too busy trying to GAIN weight to be able to help. The sauna idea sounds like a good one, though! I wish you luck, sweetie. It's very bold of you to admit that here on the org. You deserve major props for that. I wish you luck and I hope you have a great time!
