For me it's the other way around so we would make a good team, that can switch places in the driver's seat depending on the situation. One of my best friends and I actually complement each other perfectly in another way. She is great at daytime driving (when I'd rather look at the surroundings sometimes) and I'm great at nighttime driving (when she usually falls asleep, lol) so together we've been able to cover great distances on our road trips.

I'm a big fan of road trips. I drove to Los Angeles this past weekend and I'm going down again this weekend. It's about 400 miles from San Jose.
It's funny my whole left side is sun burnt from driving back from L.A. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! We want cigar puffing men that look like they wanna beat the living daylights out of us" Val"sporking is spooning with benefits"

I love taking road trips to the country at night, it drives my family nuts because I always drive alone but I simply love it. The four hour drive takes you through the woods and the only light is from the cars head lights or the moon if it's full. It's spectacularly peaceful and relaxing..

My favourite type of driving is road trips with plenty of time at my disposal. Daytime driving has its charms since you can see things on the way, while nighttime driving is really cozy and surreal. I love listening to music and following endless roads that slither their way through the terrain, and to sometimes pass huge trucks. They're like big beasts of the night as they slowly but steadily push forward with a gentle humming sound. City traffic is not fun if it's not moving forward at all or if it's really slow, but when it's flowing nicely it can be like a ballet where all the dancers know their place and move smoothly into and out of different formations. Then there's the fun of offroad driving, the thrill of nailing the gas pedal to the floor when you've got a nice straight and nobody around, the dream-like feel of driving through long pipe-like tunnels... I love all of it. Do you like driving, and if so - what's your favourite type of driving? I DRIVING!! It's the best. I have loads of driving soundtracks with all my favorite songs! I love opening my windows, let the wind blow my hair, and BLAST my music and sing along!!! I don't care to drive out of the city during the night, because I don't feel as safe, but nighttimedriving downtown ROCKS!! I love being stuck in the traffic, if I'm not in a hurry!! I open up windows, chill in my car with the music playing, hang my legs out from the window and sing and get murderous looks from the other pissed off ppl.. I love driving! I absolutely have to be the one that drives when I go anywhere with other people. No one will drive me anywhere because I always criticize them.
I took a trip upstate this past weekend and I loved speeding down the thruway with music blasting from my speakers

Oh, I hate public transportation. It's stressful and crowded and you have to put up with body odours and cell phones going off and screaming kids etc. I'd rather be stuck in a traffic jam any day. At least then I would have my own private space. It's just too bad it's so expensive to own a car. If it's not, then I prefer to be a passenger when at all possible.
Actually, I would always rather be the passenger. So never mind. I'll be waiting for you here while you do your shopping Ms Mipples. |

I love all of it. Do you like driving, and if so - what's your favourite type of driving? yeah I feel really independent, and it helps that I have my own car, even though it's old and rusty, I don't care! It feels great getting from place to place without having to leave super early for public transit, and blasting my own music and having my own space

I love driving too. Short distances, long, every day to work or just to get out.
It's all fun to me. Driving a bike is even better.

I like to drive by myself best, without passengers though for a long distance I feel safer with one. I like to have my music loud.

It's funny my whole left side is sun burnt from driving back from L.A. Did you have your window open? Or was it a convertible? Because that's usually when I get burnt. The wind is so nice and cool that I don't notice that I'm slowly getting deep fried.
