A biblical discussion.....end time prophecy

If you believe in end time prophecy and Revelation, where do you think that we are in relation to the scripture? I believe that the first seal has been opened, and the second and third are about to be opened.

I think we're in the tribulation already and have been for years.

I agree. He is one creepy looking dude. There is a little town in Indiana called Cloverdale where everyone looks like that.

He looked particularly mean in "Sleepy Hollow" when he had the pointed teeth.

Every generation believes that they are the ones
living in the end times.

In 100 years time, people will think the same
thing and atribute the 'signs' to whatever
problems and disasters happen to their
generation.

The Mayas believed that time was cyclical, (not linear as we believe). According to their calendar, the earth is due for another climactic catastrophy in the year 2016 (possibly when the poles switch polarity). If that happens, there will be planet-wide earthquakes, tidal waves, and other such nasties.

The end of time could be a mere 14 years away!

somewhere between Rev. chapter 12 and 13.

Link to Matt. 11:12 where Jesus mentions a disturbance in heaven.

People have been announcing the end of the world throughout history, and it will continue to be the case until finally it's really happening. Ironically, the person who picked the hugely important historical date won't make the history books.

In the Bible, half of Jerusalem will be given away. Recently, the Palestinians became enraged when they found out that the United States recognizes all of "Jerusalem" as the capitol of Israel. Palestinians want the east half to be recognized as the capitol of the Palestinian state.

Also, in the Bible, three parts of Israel are to be given away and taken back -- (the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights) -- the Golan Heights has yet to be given away; though, Israel has considered giving it to Syria many times in the last 5 years.

Also, in the Bible, Damascus-Syria is to be laid low. This has yet to happen in history.

Also, in the Bible, the river Euphrates is supposed to be dried up so armies from the north can march down into Israel. Only recently have dams been built on the Euphrates which can make this possible.

Also, in the Bible, a third temple is supposed to be built in Jerusalem. Only recently has the corner-stone been anointed, and all the furniture and equipment been made. The Bible's measurements of the third temple take into account the Muslim Temple of the Holy Mount in the outer courts which will NOT need to be torn down for the Jewish Temple to be built.

Also, in the Bible, it is noted that water will flow up from the Jewish Temple. Only recently has this water appeared, now flowing from the area where the temple will be built.

Speaking of tribulation -- most of the world is going through some kind of tribulation and always has. (Remember that America and the UK are not a good representation of what life is like in the rest of the world) I feel the Great Tribulation will happen soon which will affect even America, Europe, and the UK.

P.S. America seems to make no appearance in end-times prophecy. How can that be? Scary thought, huh?

But we're a super power... so then, will we not be a super power in The End? Btw, China's the only country who has an army as big as the one nation's mentioned in end-times prophecy.

I believe that America either is, or will sponsor, Babylon, and the system of mystery behind it.

I believe that Babylon the Great is a religious system that
tries to dominate the earth...finding itself at odds with the political powers in these last days, she will meet her
finish. This will bring on the Battle of Armageddon...
God's final war. The United Nations will play a significant part in finishing off the great "harlot" who committed fornication with the kings of the earth...
So...how's everybody doing? smile

Okay, at least I got that out of my system.

The end of time will never come, time will continue on. However, the life of humans may end, you know, hundreds of years from now when the sun goes out, and we have nothing to provide us with warmth.

Or, perhaps a meteor will hit the earth, or maybe, we'll just run ourselves out of resources.

True the times are critical, but... the great tribulation is to be one worse than ever seen before with no one escaping unless it is cut short. We are on the way but don't think we're there yet.
