FBLP! -or- WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SANDWICH?

Is the name of my new favorite sandwich!

I take fake (veggie) bacon, but it on 2 slices of light, whole wheat toast with a bit of light mayo, roasted red pepper and a good leafy green lettuce.

I have been living on these for days now. Which means I will probably stop eating them once the package of fake bacon is gone and never eat them again till next summer.

What's your favorite sandwich creation? biggrin

I wish I could like egg salad. I also hate pumpernickel. So I'll not be joining you for lunch on that one. lol But anything with watercress and chutney can be divine.

Pretty simplistic but easy to make: add sliced ham, sliced cheese (usually pepperjack and one other kind...whatever is in the fridge), fried onions, and then grill it. Then cut in half from corner to corner and dip in BBQ sauce. drool

I just had lunch 30 minutes ago, but now I'm getting hungry again thinking about it. confused

Same here. It's always a safe bet.

Although if it doesn't have toothpicks stuck through it to keep it from falling apart then it's not big enough. smile

I remember liking those when I was young. There's just no real way to make one veggie, though. You could use faux turkey and faux bacon, but it wouldn't be the same. And you wouldn't pile it all high like that. Gross. lol

I take a wrap instead of bread (whole wheat/low carb) and add thinly sliced turkey and ham, lettuce, tomato, and instead of mayo I mix honey mustard and pesto and spread that on. drooling

If it's a sandwitch, it's gotta have some tuna, olives, capers, marinated tomatoes, rucolla, chilli, basil, and bits of mozarella. Y.U.M.

You have to be more specific. rolleyes

For example, I tend to agree with you if we're talking chunky peanut butter and strawberry jam.
But if someone puts smooth jiff with grape jelly, then I'm not even gonna eat it. hmph!

It's bits of pickled cauliflower, onion and gherkin in a gloopy vinegar, mustard and turmeric sauce. It's very distinctive and tastes nicer than you'd imagine.

horatio

I had this deeeliscious peanut bitter type sandwich at Lulu's yesterday for a late lunch. It had tomato lettuce and I think some cucumber on it.
Maybe someone knows the technical name for the 'peanut butter' but it was stick strong and spicy.

YUM!

you can never go wrong with anything at Lulu's
