At the NYC org invasion last spring several people seemed to be surprised that I was a white girl. (They were expecting a black guy, iirc.)

IRL, people are most often shocked when they find out:

-I'm 30-something (they think I'm mid-20s)
-the type of music I listen to
-that I grew up on a "real-live" farm (not many of us around in NYC)
