Steven Segal blames FBI for his career taking a dump http://news.yahoo.com/s/n.../seagal_dc
Seagal says FBI probe ruined career Fri Aug 17, 6:54 PM ET Steven Seagal, whose action movies once were major box-office attractions, believes false allegations by FBI agents ruined his career, the Los Angeles Times reported on Friday. The comments in the Times are the first Seagal has made publicly about an investigation begun some five years ago by the FBI into accusations he intimidated a reporter and had ties to organized crime. The Times said Seagal is demanding an apology from the FBI. A spokesman for the actor was not immediately available on Friday. "False FBI accusations fueled thousands of articles saying that I terrorize journalists and associate with the Mafia," Seagal told the newspaper. "These kinds of inflammatory allegations scare studio heads and independent producers -- and kill careers." Seagal, 56, was once a major star of action movies such as 1992's "Under Siege," which earned $156 million at worldwide box offices, but now he makes straight-to-DVD releases such as "Flight of Fury and "Attack Force." The FBI investigation stemmed from Seagal's ties to former private detective Anthony Pellicano, who once was employed by many Hollywood stars, directors and producers, but is now in federal prison awaiting trial on wire-tapping and other charges. The Pellicano investigation dates to 2002 when a free-lance reporter for the Los Angeles Times found a dead fish, a red rose and a note saying "Stop!" on her car. At the time, the reporter was researching Seagal and a former business partner. Seagal told the Times that he and Pellicano had not been on speaking terms since the 1990s and the Times' story said his lawyers told FBI agents that by 2002, Seagal and Pellicano had become rivals in a bitter legal dispute. The actor said in October 2004, an FBI official told him that federal agents knew he had nothing to do with the Pellicano investigation. Still, Seagal claims they have not publicly exonerated him. An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment "because of the ongoing nature of the investigation" and referred calls to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles. A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney noted Seagal has never been charged or accused of being involved in the incident that eventually led to Pellicano's arrest. The spokesman added that the office does not comment on talks it has with attorneys representing defendants, investigation targets or witnesses.

Is he for real? His movies sucked major ass LONG before 2002....and after he sucked the life out of Kelly LeBrock's career in films, you would think he'd realize that Steven Segal is what ruined Steven Segal's career in films.... still LMAO!!! Steven Segal = He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Steven Seagul is crap....never liked him,his head is too far up his own arse.
I remember i watched one of his films with Michael Caine whih more or less turned into a lecture about how everyone else in the world apart from him is destroying the enviroment.. utter bollocks. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Segal also tried to pick fights wth stuntmen on his OWN moviesets. Former Pride Fighting commentator Stephen Quadros and Martial Artist "Judo" Gene LeBell both said that he tried to fight them. For instance, Segal says to Gene that he can break out of ANY hold Gene has. Gene Lebell is a WORLD class grappler and puts a rear choke hold (a sleeper hold) on Segal. A sleeper hold blocks bloodflow to the brain and unconsciouness sets in in seconds. Anyway,Segal tries to escape but can't and soon passes out all the while pissing in his pants.
I have been a Gene Lebell fan ever since then... "I ordered no broth! Away with ye lest my cane find your backside!!"- Ralph Wiggum, Actor.

Anything is possible considering that he uses to work for them. Loose lips sinks ships. So do the math. On a side note, before he got old and out of shape, he was good in karate and action films. Funny how time flies.

My Mom works as a Customer Service lady in a Mall. Steven Segal came up one time and was giving her a hard time because he had to wait in line for a gift certificate. He was such a jerk, and was rude...
When it was his turn, he was loud and obnoxious, and she was totally non-plussed. She said he yelled at her: "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" She said she looked at him and said, "Yeah, I do. And I don't like your movies. You need to wait like everyone else!" If I know my mother, she played that "kind little older lady" role, and SHE SAID IT! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I am a bit of a Seagal fan but he is an idiot, he clearly loves himself way too much and his movies have mostly turned to shit. He did make quite a few good ones tho! "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee
