Gloomy Sunday - The Song That Kills!

Yes, apparently there's a song called 'Gloomy Sunday' and in a "Ring" style urban myth, anybody whom listens to the song is driven to suicide! eek

Here's Billie Holiday's version: http://www.youtube.com/wa...8cTUnUtzx4

It's also known as "The Hungarian Suicide Song"...

You can read more about it at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...omy_Sunday

There are two different sets of English lyrics. The original Hungarian composer committed suicide by jumping out of a window in 1968 - just after his 69th birthday.

Have a lovely Sunday everybody. lol

Did by any chance Britney Spears sample this song on her last album?

This is important. I've made some bets.

There was a film about this a couple of years ago ( of the same name, some German love drama ).
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

The only thing deadly about this song is its melodrama.

Anybody who offs themselves over an unrequited "love" (or being dumped) has got to be among the dumbest people that ever lived. Definite Darwin Awards material.

True. There is something sad in the not having enough backbone to snap out of it and move on.

Love's a crazy thing, though.

But don't you think that viewing it as something beyond our control is part of the problem?

Sometimes emotion blinds the senses. I've been there. I hope I've grown.

I suppose it has to do with insecurity, not being able to function on your own sounds like something of aninsecurity problem.

I'm very, very annoyed. The terrible weather has ruined our satallite reception resulting in me missing two very prospectively exciting matches of football. I gues I will have to wait for 'Match of the Day' tonight.
