PrintableI have a story for this...I helped organize and develop a hip hop summit from 02-04. In 2003, we had an unknown artist, Kanye West. He was just a producer then working on pushing his solo album. "Through the wire" just dropped that summer. I remember his people contacting me and asking to put him on the conference.
Anyway, this is the listening party. I had my interns take pictures of all the artist showcases. It was craaazy to see him literally blow up in the months to come...and I got his ass for FREE.  | |
