I Think I'm BEING STALKED By an Indian Blue Peacock. Though I suffer from occasional bouts of delusional self aggrandizing fantasies , and have often imagined that I was the object of a female’s affection when in reality she was at the very least completely indifferent to my existence, I think I’m on to something here in purporting that over the last couple of months, I have been slowly stalked by an Indian Blue Peacock, one of 2 that roam the grounds at the Thai Wat Tampa (Tampa Thai Buddhist Temple). The New Temples (seen above) has been built and is now fully functional and draws more “local tourist” than ever before. The once modest operation of faithful lay vendors who sell their goods and make donations to the Temple has grown into a heavily trafficked pastime for folks around Tampa (at least those who’ve discovered it). I have been coming here for about 5 years now and have always noticed the birds, due their extreme beauty, though I have never really paid too much attention to them. But within the last 2 months, one of the birds is always following me. He walks about 15 to 20 feet behind me, and when I sit down to eat my hot bowl of noodle soup and deliciously spicy Som Tum (papaya Salad), he stares at me. I’ll turn to look at him, and he looks away pretending like he wasn’t observing me. Or he’ll walk slowly behind a tree like he’s James Bond or some shit. But he’s been watching me. He’s been observing. Even on exceptionally crowded days, when there are no kids around (the peacocks tend to hide when there’s lots of kids around), he will still single me out and approach me only within 15 feet or so. I’m not sure what he’s after, but I wish he would just spill it. Creepy ass bird. picture edit [Edited 7/8/07 15:23pm]

Moderator | I always thought/heard it is good luck if a peacock opens it's tail when it's watching you, but it was bad luck to take a peacock or a peacock feather indoors.
That's all I know about peacocks. It's a cool story though Dan. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

A lover from a life before, reincarnated as a peacock?
