I just ask because I want the old racist generation to die off but I have a feeling they're passing this level of ignorance down. Educate the young, the world's too small and time's too short. I would have left a copy of the movie "Crash" with that moron, maybe a movie could show him what an ignorant fuck he is. I thought about that lol, that the old racist generation will die off, some of their kids are not following their views...some are, but I think things are getting better. I don't understand how people can be so racist...well I guess you can expect that from dumb ass people.

That kind of shit pisses me off...it sounds like you handled it professionally though. I am usually the type of person to try to tell people off about stuff like that, but when you are working sometimes I think it's best to not engage them.
I schedule tours at a museum and this woman called me once wanting to book a tour for a Jewish organization (I mention the Jewish part only because it comes up later). I told her the dates she wanted were unavailable and she insisted on knowing why so I told her there were already public school tours scheduled for those times. She said some crap about 'how nice that we allowed kids from the ghetto to come to our museum.' I was FUMING and wanted to bitch her out and school her on how 'ghetto' originally referred to areas where Jews were forced to live during WWII; but I just told her I'd call her if anyone canceled and ended the call. Then I wrote "BIGOT" in my phone log by her name and never called her back. She called again about a month later and I was like, "No, I'm sorry, we still don't have any openings."

yes...and being here all my life, I can tell you, it's not a stereotype...racism is blatant down here Some of my friends that have lived in the South say they prefer the blatant bigotry than the down-low bigotry here in California. They say that in the South you know who your enemies are but in California the bigots while smile in your face and talk about you later. I love the south, but that shit is embarassing..

It was white on white. He (the home owner) thought he was being slick, sussing a fellow whitey out about it. ("I personally don't like them.") Just saying. by any edit necessary! It really opened my eyes and it made me embarrassed to be white. I hate it too. My family growing up was kind of racist. It got to the point that I refused to go to family function because of the racial slurs. It really infuriated me, because I have two young sons that I don't want hearing that crap.
I love all colors. I recently spent a bit of time down in the U.S. I've been so used to the subtle racism I witness up here that even the small amount of blatant racism I saw came as a surprise. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Holy crap....I used to keep those things as pets. (until my dad got mad and threw them all out...) Back on topic: *sighs* people these days. Makes me wonder how they can possibly live in their jaded, ignorant world. But then again, I wasn't raised like that. I honestly feel sorry for racist people...they've got all the wrong ideas about so many things and end up missing out on getting to know wonderful people.
