FOR THE ORG MEN:Do You Find Women With Shaved Heads Beautiful The reason I asked is because I have male coworkers , my brother , my father , and all the male relatives in my family who said that women with shaved heads are very ugly. They told me that I am "different" because I look very beautiful with a shaved head but I don't know whether to take it as an compliment or an insult. What do the guys here think of women like me who wears their hair shaved?

It all depends on the face of the woman
as to whether a shaved head suits. Hairstyles in general depend on the shape and features of the face. eg, Sinead O'Connor suits this style. . [Edited 8/13/07 0:05am]

not that I am a man, but my sister looked very beautiful with a shaved head.
probably just as with men, if they have a good shaped head it looks good.

Who gives a shit what they think? I'm sick of people trying to shove their perceptions of beauty down everyone else's throats; it's extremely, extremely subjective and more than that it's not important. If someone likes the way they look, then they should stick with it even if it's "unusual." ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

Those men sound insecure. Head-shaving sometimes gets relegated to a "male" sartorial domain. Those men sound as if they have bought into that.
I've seen women with close-to-bald and bald hairstyles who were quite lovely with them. It all depends on the woman's head shape (verrrrry important) and the way she carries herself. Keep being you. Life is short.

Life is short. Thank You,Calligraphy! I never had a problem attracting men because I do dress feminine all the time but it's just the men in my family and the male coworkers at my job that have a problem with it even though they tell me that I look very beautiful with it.

Yeah, I hate being around the guys when they're going ape for the beer-ad prototype of beauty.
I think shaved can be very hot, beautiful, whatever. The sky is the limit. "I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs

I wouldn't say they're ugly, but that look doesn't do it for me.

It's only the prettiest girls who can get away with it. It's a real litmus test.

Well, a number of lovely entertainers have had shaved heads -- everyone from Meshell Ndegeocello to that Star Trek movie actress to Erykah Badu and Sinead.
It's one of the few hairstyles, IMO, that succeeds in evoking ethereal, strong, mysterious and fragile styles. It also has a way of emphasizing a woman's eyes.

I briefly dated a female member of SHARP (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice) and she was a real looker.
