Desk Plants.

Do you keep plants on your desk at work or home?

I have lucky bamboo right next to me.

Along with its ease of growth, Lucky Bamboo has long been associated with the Eastern practice of Feng Shui - or the bringing of natural elements of water, fire, earth, wood and metal into balance within the environment. Lucky Bamboo is believed to be an ideal example of the thriving wood and water element, with the addition of a red ribbon sometimes tied around the stalks - which is believed to "fire" the positive flow of energy or chi in the room.

According to Feng Shui, different arrangements of Lucky Bamboo will have different meanings:

2 Stalks will signify Love
3 or 6 Stalks will attract Happiness
5 or 7 Stalks will bring Good Health
8 Stalks will lead to Growth and Wealth
9 Stalks will lead to General Good Fortune
10 Stalks will bring Perfection
21 Stalks will bring Powerful Blessings
4 Stalks are always avoided because the Chinese Four sounds similar to the Chinese word for Death.

And the picture I post has 4 stalks! lol

At work they supply me with an endless rotation of orchid arrangements for my desk. Something about my bosses decorator and orchids, she has an orchid fetish...it looks like a damn green house in here. Atleast I am not allergic to the thing.
