David's family is all from upstate New York and I went there one year in early September and it was freezing already! I was amazed at how cold it was! I don't love rain either, but sometimes it's a nice excuse to slow down, stay in, and relax. We never get snow here. I haven't seen it in 4 years or more. I'm with ya on the boots. The last time we had a lot of snow over here, it was the day before Spring Break started. I knew it was going to snow, so I skipped my class, but I had to wait for my friend because she needed a ride home. By the time she got out of class, about 2 feet of snow had already fallen. They had closed the dorms, so we had no choice but to go home. Our 1 hour trip south ended up being a 5 hour trip. It was the scariest day of my life. My car was sliding all over the place on the stupid thruway.
