It bums me that you're bummed, Mach. I think it's not an unusual feeling, either - a lot of people can empathize. Personally, I either ride it out (and the life I thought I didn't have eventually throws a weird, new challenge my way) or I try & persue some new interest.

I get farther & farther from the latter option. It initiates consuming something with my time I'm not all that interested in - as though I tried to feed my low with a new preoccupation!

Often I just change perspective. This could be as silly as sitting in an unusual place in my home. Get out of the comfort zone, you'd be surprised that something seemingly insignificant might help...
