Is Number 23 the new member to the triumvirate of Doom? If so awesome. It certainly is a blessing to have the subversive outlook and humor of Doom here on my thread. It is an honor to have you posting your thoughts. Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

I sense a new clique coming. The Clique of Nihil less spirited than Doom, naturally, but interesting regardless. | |

I'm generally at loathe to piss on anybody's parade, no matter my opinion on their passion. However, anyone who spends their brief era of conciousness on their knees comforted by delusional faith in vindictive egocentric skygods and their whims can take me on in a theosophical joust through the medium of orgnote if they wish.

Yeah, it's called God working out every ill towards the good and his glory. But this is also not to say pessimism gets a free pass because of this. America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

Yes, you definitely can learn something from everyone on earth. From the truth to the fallacy. America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

Thanks for posting, Karma. It is a good message. I don't think you necessarily learn something from everyone...but I think it's always important to be receptive to the people around you. I think when you do that, you at least learn a little something about yourself... "I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs

You could have learned the first from me too once upon a time. But I've not placed myself in the role of teacher or activist. I'ma a news man. I give people what they want - entertainment. No different from the colloseum. I don't feel I have much actual useful knowledge of the huma condition or psyche to pass on, no matter how intelligent folk think I am. It's just perception. We're all alone, then - lights out. Though I often like to discuss theological issues and would write more if I thought it might not place you into a box and offend, I have no interest in orgnote jousting, but... cheer up, it might never happen! .
