Please keep my son Dakota in your prayers. I just got back from the doctor's in which I was thinking I was taking him in for his 15 month checkup and to have his cold seen to but instead there was something even more going on. The doctor discovered something wrong with one of his eyes. It wasn't there 3 months ago. She said it is possible that it could be a tumor or it could just be that he doesn't see as well in that eye. She is referring him to a specialist however. Now I know that chances are it is just that he doesn't see as well out of that one eye. I pray that is all that it is. I do believe in the power of prayer, so please if you could just keep a small part of your prayers for my son, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you all.

My prayers are with you and your son InfinitiesHeaven... keep ya head up and don't presume the worst You know kids, they get all sorts of stuff from time to time and it is easy to get panicky especially when doctors mention the "dark end of the spectrum". Keep positive and let us know what happens.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers. I know he'll be okay. It's just a very scarey situation for a mother to be in. We always want the best things for our babies. We don't want them to be ill in anyway. When they hurt, we hurt. (Goes the same with fathers too I imagine). But thank you all. Much love to each and everyone of you.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and thoughts. They have his appointment set up for Oct. 30th, but we are trying to get that moved sooner. The tumor that they are discussing is called Retinoblastoma. I am keeping faith that it is nothing serious but have looked up the cancer online. Scarey stuff. I think sometimes not knowing is better than knowing. One of the ways in which they cure the cancer is to remove the eye, and he has the most incredible blue eyes that I've ever seen. Also if this is what he has, then he has a lifetime predisposition to getting other cancers as well. So your prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone.

I think you are right in someway, if you say sometimes is better not knowing as knowing.
But, I would not look too much in these cancer sides or books about it. No for all is it so, but that can be negative to focus too much on it.
Focus on life love and positivity is, so I think, much more important then to be overinformed about things often medicine even don't have answers to. The iformations do often produce fears and fears are negative energies-.
