BIZARRE FOODS

Oh Lawd!!!!

I'm watching MY first episode of Bizarre Foods on the Travvel Channel. Although I respect everyone on the show I CANNOT DEAL WITH THE THINGS THAT THEY EAT. This particular episode focuses on Mexican bizarre foods. My ancestors actually ate all this.

Cricket tostadas, worms, armadillo. Ant eggs and mosquito eggs.

I don't think I could do it and you all know I looooove food.

What is the strangest thing that you have eaten?

I actually think that I would be up for the challenge but I don't know. My friend had dog in Vietnam, I believe. He said it was okay but too greasy.

I think I would try that.

On the "steet"? You mean the street? (ulitsa in Russian).

Why did they serve you that on the street?

The closest I've come to any kind of brains were Sweetbreads. I thought, when I ordered it, it was going to be a pastry. When I got it I was surprised. They were little curly cue fried things. They were delicious until I found out what they were. Cow brains. I feel bad that I let the fact that it was brains affect me like that. They were delicious at first.

The show is great. Of course, depending on most of our ethnitiecies on the org, some of the stuff that's presented on the show isn't so strange b/c we've probably eaten it at one time or other.

hahahhah yes , spell check needed.....There were carts with Vodka, caviar, white fish, cheese, with bread. It was when Russia 1st opened up to tourists in the early 80's. There were flea markets where you could buy Middle Eastern rugs for a song. If you were a tourist with $$ it was paradise...

Whoa, Cottage Cheese was definitely the shit in the 70's. That was a fad that I'm glad most have abandoned.
