I know that no matter what sign you have, it won't help. People just don't like to read rules.
It's the same in forums. No matter if you have it in huge writings, pop-up windows and big warnings next to the "send" button, they will always ignore it and break the rules. I'm moderating 3 different forums and it's all the same. Every day I post at least 3 "please check the forum rules" or "please search the forum, this question was already answered". So if it's a few words and straight to the point, they might catch what it says even in a split of a second. A long message would need their full attention, which is not easy to grab. | |
