What food do you miss the most? And what do you plan to eat, when you get back home, that you haven't had?
What food do others say they want, can't have, etc. I'm sure there's plenty of USA regional food that's unique and missed. I grew up in the midwest, and pork tenderloin, batter fried, on a bun is obscure in the southwest, and not sold.
Last time I visited Illinois, the meat was paper thin. It used to have more substance. I was: WTF? this is a pork tenderloin sandwich??? NO WAY. Where's the pork? Annoyed me to all get out. The quality had gone down. There was at least something to chew on....
