DEHUMIDIFIERS

WHOOO HOOO!

has anyone used one?

I just bought one.

Im trying to figure out, if the setting is at 80% does that mean its taking 80% humidity out of the air?
Or is it leaving the humidity at 80%?

what number do I want it on to take all the moisture out of the air?

hmmm

Its a smasung DED50LL if that matters.

Didn't it come with a little thermometure type thing that will tell you how much moisture is in the air?

No!!!!! I'm sure its fine. If you set it to 80 I'm sure that means 80 percent moisture in the air.

ok so I want the number set low to get the moisture out of the air. THANKS!

My basement kinda got a water problem last night when it poured for like 5 - 6 hours straight.

mad

I suppose it will take 80% of the humidity out of the air...

We had one in our basement in our old house. They're perfect for getting
that "basement", damp smell out of the air.

Be sure to dump the water once a day (unless yours dumps automatically)
Ours would shut off when it was full of water.

Also, be careful to replace the filter...we didn't do that (I didn't even
know it was there!) and I think I burned out the motor.

If you're going to use your basement, it's a great investment.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

growing up we had this ancient dehumidifier that was loud as hell. I would always have to turn up the TV really loud whenever it started up. I used to unplug it and then I'd get in trouble because the dehumidifier kept the books from molding or some such silliness.

I hated that thing. pissed

And since then I've vowed to never ever ever own one.

I'll just be humid. It's fine. pout

I got an Electronic Air Cleaner.

It's got a quick dry option.

It keeps the air neutral.

I think it's doing that. eek

Actually, the one I purchased is an excellent one.
I didnt know it cause I never had one before.
But it seems to work great. Its electronic, and has a 'self cleaning mode'.
Its a SAMSUNG.
