No car, house, keys, mobile phone... it's just called being poor, I think. In truth, it's a well-known fact that I don't actually exist. :orgbot: . [Edited 8/9/07 3:09am]

Nobody. Someone's (nearly) always at home. If it's just popping to the market during the day we leave the house unlocked. Neighbours are always milling about next door and out on the street. Often the front door's left open, chances are. Who would think to just walk in?

I had a really hard time finding work without a work permit over there. Eventually I got a few tutoring gigs, but it took me a long time to get to that point.

What a cutesy statement from such a cutesy username. Are you really that cute or are you EWM's alter account where he gets to live out his unknown side or something?

Or you could say it's called being free. (having a glass-half-full day here) Well, there is that too. I actually do tend not to go for acquiring 'stuff' anyway and will never purchase a house or condo here, unless maybe to let (so I can make loads of money and buy shit! ). I'm a bit of a non-existent human at the moment though, or at least in limbo. Officially I still live in the UK. My bank accounts are there, my mail goes there, the jury duty requests keep getting sent there, and I'm still a resident of the UK in nearly all cases. Here I'm not a tourist, but I'm not on the house registration, but am married to a Thai and recorded as such at the district office, though down as living in the UK. It's now the marriage and Mon's Thai bank account that let me stay here for longer periods as more than a tourist, but what exactly am I? It's weird. . [Edited 8/9/07 5:04am]
