Who here works up a SWEAT......

At the gym? biggrin

OK, so next week my youngest starts Kindergarten and I am going to have my days free and plan on taking my butt to they gym every day after I drop him off at school.

Who is a health nut? Who is a complete lazy azz? Who wants to do a health challenge with me? yay!

I don't like going to the gym and even the idea of going for a jog makes me shudder as I find it so boring. I much prefer to play football/soccer as a means of keeping fit as it's fun and interactive. Although I don't exercise as much as I like I'd say I'm in good shape. I walked quickly up and out of the deepest canyon in the world starting at 2am during my travels. This was after 2 days trekking too. That's good going I feel!

I hate running too. Not to mention it's bad for the knees. Unfortunately I can't work out outside right now as it's 115 degrees here. It's unbearable. When I go to the gym I like to do at least 30 minutes of cardio, but I break it down to 10 minute blocks on three different machines so I can ward off the boredom. Then I usually lift weights. I'd like to lose some weight, so I have changed my eating patterns quite a bit.

I don't like working out and I love food, not a good combination. I have started to walk again and have also been trying to watch what I eat. I walked for about 45 min. yesterday and still felt really pumped after so I got home and walked the dog for another 30 min. biggrin

Three times a week.

1,5 h gym (too bad it gets boring so quickly)

15 min shower

0,5 h swimming pool

8 min sauna

15 min hot shower

I love it.

I was going 3-4 times a week and then it all stopped. lol

I've been walking 4.5 miles 2-4 times a week, but I just changed my schedule at work and I may have lost my walking buddy with that.

But now I can go back to the gym! yay!

But I may quit the gym and take a yoga or dance class elsewhere instead. I really do get sooooo bored.

I've also been thinking of going to an independent personal trainer, but it depends on what I can afford...

I'm back in the gym and I quit smoking a couple of weeks ago. I tell you, I'm feeling great!!!!

I've been lifting and doing some cardio. I'm getting back into it slowly though.

I'm taking a dance class too. I took dance for 10 plus years when I was young and am now just getting the time to do it again.

I try to go to the gym daily.

Whenever I do go to the gym, I either do cardio or muscle work...usually alternating every other day.

Cardio involves a 3-mile run at 8.5mph on the treadmill followed by very light weight reps and 300 sit-ups.

Muscle is a 1-mile run at 9mph followed by 3 weights circuits doing 15 reps of each weight followed by 100crunches, 30 slanted sit-ups and 25 sit-ups using a machine. Sometimes push-ups too if I have the energy.

And yes, I get really sweaty.

I'm lazy as hell! I need to lose weight, but I'm so tired after working all day that I don't really work out much. I was in pretty good shape when I was away at school because I would walk everywhere and I ate much less 'cause I'm cheap and was trying to save money, but once I returned to my parent's house that all changed. I need to get off of my ass and get on the treadmill confused

Anyone here ever heard of "Rhabdomyolosis"? Well, I was documented as having episodes of "IT" for a period in time when I had been working out moreso regularly than I do, now. It was noted that I had been supposedly over-exerting myself just a tad bit. But, the thing is, I couldn't even finish a thirty-minute exercise that, when you think about (Especially for all of the physical workaholics), barely included any element of which would coause the normal male teen of youth to see it as strenuous. If anyone knows cardiology, then you may come to find that having cardiac enzymes up at the level near two-thousand a tad bit weird.

Plus, I was having these chest pains, off-and-on. Mind you, I was only fifteen, but that didn't mean much. I was heavier back then. My body still doesn't even contain a lick more of the little stamina and durability of which my body contained those three years ago. I once fell out at school during weight training it was so bad. I am not making excuses (Because, I often doubt that most doctors know what they are talking about when it comes to these things. Especially, those medical officials that work at "Children's Hospital"), but something doesn't seem right with my body. I wish that wasn't the case. I still try to do as much as I can to keep up shape because I can be lazy. Damn, sorry for the long post. I need to narrow things down better.

I've never heard of it. Sounds sucky though. I have chronic, frequent migraines and that has kept me from exercising like I should and need to. It sucks. Hope you find out what's going on and take good care of yourself.

Not at the gym but I work out usually everyday in some form or other. Whether it be martial arts or weight lifting, aswell as many other strength exercises like push and situps that I always do. I've stopped doing the real heavy 1 hour + workouts though and cut it to just a few simple exercises a day for now. I need to regain at least a full a stone or 14 lbs in weight because I lost too much and am underweight. Some of my pants have become real loose haha.
