So is this like WWF wrestling? Or Nascar type stuff?

My boyfriend loves this rather barbaric (in my opinion) sport, but his main obsession is boxing. WEC I believe, and UFC are a cross between Boxing and Juditsu (spelling.) An interesting sport non-the-less, but still one that requires a certain taste.
