The machine didn't take it. So I stuck my finger in there to get the nickel and there was a bunch of change that had been rejected and about 75 cents in nickels and dimes fell on the floor. I reached in and grabbed my nickel, put it back in the machine and it took that and then proceeded to put the rest of my nickels in to make up the fare of $1.25.
Now that I put my money in, I walked over to my seat and the bus driver started flipping out and yelling why I didn't pick up the change. I told him it wasn't my money and it wasn't my job to make sure that the change that was rejected was put in the machine. He wouldn't leave till I walked over and picked that shit up and put it in the machine. OK, so my question. Was I wrong to leave that change there? It wasn't my money. Could I have been courteous? Sure. But I didn't feel like it. It was the morning and I wasn't in the mood for niceness. Am I wrong to expect that it is the drivers responsibility to make sure that the change the customers are paying is taken by the machine? you coulda bought a jumbo jack with all those extra nickles. i can say you should have picked it up.but like u were saying.u werent in a "pick shit up off the floor mood" lol | |
