can you imagine how totally lost we would be if we suddenly found ourselves in korea?

Kinda like when we up and moved to Saudi Arabia from the US. I was in MORE shock when we came BACK to the US. lol WOAH!

what does she think about the possibility that the two koreas will ever be united again?
Uhhhhh. I dunno. Do you really think that is something we talked about? lol

is she from a rural or urban area?
Rural. But she did tell me that one thing that is uncomprehendable to her is the lack of public transportation. No buses going to and fro to go to the next town over an what not.
I said.
This is Pennsylvania Jack! Ya gotta hop the train if ya wanna go to the next town.

is she lonesome for friends and home?
Not yet I don't think. Shes online 24/7 anyway.

i can't imagine doing that... tell her i admire her! does she have a favorite study course? does she realize you are going to have her wearing mini skirts and push up bras by the end of term?
I think so.
I think she's scared of me. lol

Her name is Christine.

No. She said they didn't have organized sports in her school cause it was so small.

how big is the highschool?
Her old scholl was really small and is the reason she is here. The school she will be going toi here, is also really small compared to the norm. The graduating class will probably have maybe 90 kids. Which I think is a GOOD thing.

and yeah, this is definately "car culture" in north america.

.

Nope. 15

and what did you do with the lemons
Thats kind of a joke at my house and with my friends. Yanno how Jer is a recovering alcoholic? Well, when we USED to go ut place to ppls houses he would fill a big Juicy Juice bottle with beer from our tap and take his frosty mug along with him. NOW he takes the lemons and a frosty mug where ever we go, because NOW he is addicted to lemon water.

Yeah, but only one barrel. One kind of beer yes. Pretty much everyone has a beer meister in their basement.

We put ours for sale in the newspaper when Jer quit drinking and we sold it within an hour and our phone rang off the hook for WEEKS.

Even so, it still seems like a fast lane to alcoholism to me. People get wasted beyond belief just from one litre bag-in-box wine (since they can't tell how much they've been drinking) so I can only imagine what having your own beer tap would do to you in the long run... I'm amazed that not more people in your area have problems with alcohol.

Yeah, our good friends have a kegerator. A refrigerator with a keg inside and a tap coming out of the side of the thing.

Hers something for you to think about retina.

My husband got a DUI in June of last year.

It didn't go to court until February because the courts were SOOO backed up in DUI charges.

This is a CONSTANT. Everyone in and their neighbor eother has a DUI or Underage charge here, including yours truly.

No. I'm not bragging, trust me. Just telling you what its like here.

Well your husband has my sympathies. It can't be easy to stay away from the beer if you have a seemingly endless supply. It's like having your own personal bar. Personally I'm not too into alcohol anyway so a more fair comparison would be if I had my own unlimited supply of lap dancers or something. I would never even leave the house! lol

Yeah, well it seems to have become an integrated part of the culture that nobody ever thinks twice about, and that makes it all the more dangerous.

Not only that, but I feel like addicion runs in your blood. If you come from a long string of alcoholism, you have that chance of following suite.

Dani, is your husband able to drive now? If my husband got a DUI his career would be over. I used to drink heavily, well we both did. But, now not too much. We always set up a driving plan if we need to. Even if we go out to dinner and one of us has a glass of wine the other one drives. Even though the person doesn't feel drunk or tipsy in the least the cops would still bust us if we were pulled over.

Yeah. My husband never thought twice of drinking and driving unfortunaly. Its sad to admit, but its true. He has his license back now, and hasn't had a drink since August of last yr.

Good for him. I am sure it was tough. My maternal grandparents were both alcoholics and both of my parents have had big issues with alcohol. Their excessive drinking comes and goes. I'm glad I don't drink like I used to.
