Hall Of Fame Career. His 70's Stuff is where His Legend was Peak&Prime IMHO.in the 80's "Crusing"&Scarface".those 2 are His Main Moments of that Era IMHO.since then Hit&Alot of Miss.He is one of the Greatest Actors Ever but I also think folks are stuck in a time warp with Him as well because truth be told It's be a Really Long time since He has made a Great Film IMHO.also I get tired of His Over-Acting in almost every film he has done since the mid 80's til now.but having said that He is a First Tier Actor&One of the Greatest Ever IMHO. mistermaxxx

I love Al..all his shit. Especially And Justice For All...and I cant get enough of the old vet in Heat or Glengary Glenn Ross...all the others of course hes great in (that Corleone movie, Serpico, Dog Day Aft, Needle Park, Searching For Richard, all which that dingbat subyduby knows nothing about Im sure) "Climb in my fur."

Pacino tends to over-act quite a bit... I still really like him, but the veins stand out on his forehead too often... he can be good, but he can be overbearing too. SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

Too true--his angry, yelling stuff carried him in the nineties but it worked well in Heat and Glen Gary. "Climb in my fur."

I love Al Pacino. I met him ,spoke to him and got his autograph. He's so nice. I think his best acting was in The Godfather series and also Scarface. I also like Al in Sea Of Love. He's a Great actor. As Tony Manaro says AL PACINO!

I love Al but that Cuban accent didn't sound natural at all in Scarface. It's the most affected thing he's ever done. The whole movie was overwrought and too over the top to convince me. It's an overblown, total testosterone/beer/guy thing. More power to y'all who dig it.
Serpico Dog Day Afternoon Godfather I & II ps, that hair needs ... something. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

He DOES over-act! Especially in Devil's Advocate. My fav's are the first Godfather, Scent of a Woman, Scarface, Heat and Serpico. A lot of people don't like heat, but there were so many yummy men in there I can't help myself to watch it!

In Devil's Advocate, he was having fun with the role, but in Scent of a Woman he really overdid it. But he got that Oscar, and that's why we have scenes like in Any Given Sunday, where you spend the whole movie waiting for Al to break into speech.
Having said that, I'm a big fan, I'll buy his movies without seeing them first, because if it has Al, there's something worth seeing in it. Faves: Serpico, Devil's Advocate, Godfather Part II, Insider. He was great in City Hall and Insomnia as well, but the movies weren't the best. Just don't get him confused with Robert De Niro. I hate that. [This message was edited Tue Oct 1 8:36:04 PDT 2002 by tommyalma]

Al Pacino will always stick in my memory for that part in Heat where he shouts "GREAT ASS" and pulls that face and does the whole hand motion...What a guy...He was taking the piss all the way through Heat, I'm sure
Glengary Glen Ross, what a film Scarface - Perfect Godfathers - Obviously Scent Of A Women This man IS acting - His only equal could be De Niro IMO -----------------------------------------

Al is one of our greatest actors EVER! He can do anything. I can't believe he's in his 60's already. I hope he never gets too old to make movies. It's so hard when we loose great actors. I miss Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. You should check out Glengary Glenross. Great movie with Al and Jack.
