It's been changed to "We've got to do better" the original title upset a lot of people. Unfortunately I haven't seen a whole show, but it's kind of a community service enlightenment.

thats what it claims to be. title is just a used as an excuse to poke fun/make money off of what is deemed as some aspects of black culture. i find it funny that charlie murphy is hosting this mess-seems to be going where ever he can make money; a sellout. its a show that commands to audience to 'laugh at' instead of 'laughing with' in order to understand each other-coincides with the inner moral issues that dave chapelle had with his show.

Are we suggesting here that "Dave Chappelle" was indeed, "NOT" at least a decent comedian (I, for one, found him funny. A lot of the irony hit too close to home, sometimes, though. But, wasn't that, for the most part, the point being conveyed with Chappelle?)?

This is exactly why I stopped watching BET a long time ago.

But, wasn't that, for the most part, the point being conveyed with Chappelle?)? no i'm saying he was not a decent comedian. him being funny is not the point what i'm saying is that he quit his show because he did not like the negative vibe he got from some white people on the set. they were 'laughing at' and episode he was taping where his conscience was in black face contemplating if he wanted to order the fried chicken or the baked fish. the point of the skit was to point out the apprehensions that different races feel about certain gestures, slangs, styles or other preconcieved stereotypes that may be associated with their race that they try to avoid. Some of the white people did not get that. they were laughing at the black face and that was not his intent. in a sense this show "we got to do better" is allowing people to 'laugh at' what i think is form of modern black face as opposed to actually looking at the big picture and getting from the show what the title claims to seek.

[Edited 8/7/07 17:36pm] And get ready for the Michael Baisden Show coming soon. It's a late night talk show and the performing guests are REAL artists. It's about damn time they have a late night black talk show since Magic Johnson's tepid attempt a few years back. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Also, there has been a few late night black talk shows since "The Magic Hour." Remember BET Tonight in 2000, The Orlando Jones Show in 2003, Weekends at the D.L. in 2005. PRINCE: Always and Forever

MB is a syndicated radio jock that has a book called "The Maintenance man". He's very popular on urban radio. And yeah, I forgot about the Orlando Jones Show. Poor Orlando, he just lacked the charisma and charm, and DL just had the wrong format. DL in place of Magic/Chris Spencer would have been great. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Damn, I forgot Rock as well. "Face Down" was a great performance. Hilarious even. Maxwell's performances were always tight. The first showings of "Pootie Tang". That ghetto hair sketch parody where they mention my hometown (Detroit, Michigan: The Hair Capitol). Funny.
