I made a list of all the things I need to repair and improve upon in my apartment in order to make it ready to be sold. It's a long list... I also watched the Pride parade, hung out with friends, went to a standup comedy show in a park, watched some movies and spent quite a bit of time talking on Skype.

Two. Friday and Saturday. nod Well, plus both "after shows" which didn't really involve Prince anyway. For about 3 minutes on Saturday it did though. confused

Nikka Costa was amazing at the Sat. aftershow though! worship Dr. John played (who I do like) on Friday, but everyone was expecting Prince of course.

I'm so damn tired now. dead

If I count the aftershows, that would be like attending 4 concerts. whew I haven't heard of Dr. John before. Is he a new band member?
It can be such a bummer when Prince says he's gonna do something and then, change his mind. Like the appearances at the after shows. neutral

Yeah, he only came onstage for about 3-4 minutes on Saturday night. I'm pretty sure he was pissed off about an altercation w/ security and some guys that were taking pics that was happening right in front of him while he was playing. I knew he wouldn't come back after that because you could tell he was really angry.

Dr. John is a New Orleans blues/jazz/psychedelic/r&b artist that's been around for a long time. nod

It was a Mexican place(Catalina's?) and it looked like downtown Santa Barbara. We saw Bourne at a movie theater that was very old-timey. The inside of the theater resembled a Mexican village. Bourne was the only movie listed on the marquee. razz

The theatre you went to was The Arlington, it is made to resemble a spanish village, and you are under the stars. If you ate across the street from the theatre, you ate at Carlito's and co. I hope you had a great time!!

The Roots were great but I liked the set they did at Rock the Bells better.

Ben Harper is amazing I love him to death.

Iggy Pop and The Stooges are fucking fantastic.

The Black Keys earned a fan in me for life.

Amy Winehouse was the only true disapointment. pout

All in all it was a pretty good weekend. smile

There were two restaraunts right across from each other. Our restaraunt was almost directly across from the theater, but the place we didn't go to was even closer. Still Carlito's? biggrin

It was a trip driving by the ocean on Pacific Coast Highway. Nice views. razz
