billysparxxx said: Billy here, I'm good. I normally stay late at work on Wednesday and go to football practice from work. I'm on that bridge heading to bloomington from roseville during that time. I stayed last yesterday again, but I went to our company BBQ in Roseville.
I'm glad you're safe Billy. All is well. I'm giving blood today during lunch, just trying to do something to help.

Do they know the cause yet? No. At least I don't think they've said anything more about it. It will probably be a while until they find out I would think. On the news last night they were estimating it could take months to investigate to find the cause. There are no "smoking guns". The construction they wee doing on the bridge was just surface work. No joint or structural work, so it is highly unlikely related. Or so was said anyway... |

My prayers are with all those injured and with those who have passed. What a tragedy! glad u're safe. Thankyou Madartista! America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

I'm glad everyone who frequents the Org seems to have not been involved in the catastrophe and are all safe.
I live about an hour and a half drive southeast of Minneapolis, so fortunately I don't go along that stretch of road too often. I think the last time was maybe early December. Still, I don't know if I'll ever feel safe again driving across some of those bridges in the Twin Cities. At least the ones I do have to drive across and under in the Rochester area are either fairly new or brand new. [Edited 8/2/07 8:58am]

Leann and Sandy (Tangey and Goldeneyez)??
Brian and his family? Tim, what about him? What about J? Please check in I'm going to phone Leann later, no use in clogging up the lines now even though I'm aching to call - Leann and Sandy don't drive but I don't know where they live in relation to the bridge - people who know, where's Robbinsdale? Thank goodness for all the people who've checked in and they're ok.
