Some people will only approve people that they know. I think that's stupid. why don't you just talk on the phone then? What's the point of a myspace if you don't want to know new people? I'm thinking of changing mine to private.
Only cause I have pictures of my kids, and family members, and friends, who maybe don't want their pictures plastered all over the internet. Plus its kind of unnerving when you get all these views in one day and your like, ewwwww, who is it, and why....is it a creepy old man.....yanno.. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure

I'm not approving anyone I haven't already met. To have me as a friend is to be part of the elite. My friendship would be worthless if every loser on myspace was my friend. To not add people you don't know is one thing, to call them losers though... I don't like to add people unless I've checked out their pages 1st. One guy sent me an "add", so I clicked on his page- he was flashing gang signs and holding up guns and stuff with his friends!  I'm almost 40 years old! Why the hell would he think I would think this was cool? What on my page gave him that impression?!
I've blocked a couple of people who seemed creepy... 
But, I've at least met and had a conversation with everyone on my page, if they are not close friends. (Or they're Prince fans I've met thru here or along the way!  ) I try to keep in touch with them, too. I feel that's why they were added- so we can correspond on some level- even if it's only an occasional "comment".
