When I was younger, we were in an accident on the NY Thruway in which my Dad fell asleep. Our car flipped over and ended up in a ditch upside down. If my Mom wasn't wearing her belt, she would have been thrown thru the windshield. She a huge scar that was the seatbelt pattern that went around her neck.

Not only do I ALWAYS put mine on, I make sure everyone in the car is buckled up- even in the back. I think that's why I was so annoyed.... I felt like, "U DON'T KNOW ME!!!" mad

oh my goodness, how terrible. what happened to you kids?
i know we never wore our belts. thank goodness you were all okay.
and yes, my sister flipped her car. she was thrown and killed
and her passenger who was wearing a belt walked away. we use seatbelts now. neutral

That situation would make me uncomfortable. I wonder if he behaves the same way with male drivers he thinks aren't wearing their seatbelts.

I was thrown forward, but those were the days of the "bench seats", so I just had a really painful whiplash and had a collar and a lot of bruises. My knees were all cut up because of the springs and stuff in the back of the front seat. My sister was asleep, so she was thrown around the car like a ragdoll. They said what probably saved her from bad injury was the fact that her body was so relaxed. She woke up like, "Huh? Why are we upside down?"

I'm so sorry about your sister. hug

Dude was just trying to help. It's too bad in this day and age that when a stranger tries to help us, our first reaction is fear.

I'll say it again: I was wearing my seatbelt! He was minding my business! Prince ("Kiss" 12" version music) & I were doing fine, drifting along in heavy construction traffic. Some @$$ decided to peer into my car and make @$$umptions about me! mad
