just get them taken out as soon as you're better. trust me, i've had
tonsillitis on and off for about 10 years each one slightly worse or longer than the previous one. in the end antibiotics don't really work that well anymore and even if they do, they're so very bad for your body you just shouldn't be taking them that often. i went in to get them taken out, had a bitchin' hurtful period for a day or 4 and then it slowly went down. right now i've had 9 months without as much as a dry cough  it's
completely unheard of for me, since i used to have a sore throat all the time and tonsillitis every 2 months. the doc said i've healed up very nicely and will likely never have a sore throat like i used to have ever again in my life 
anyway, get well soon! and i hope you'll be able to ditch those nasty meanie tonsills sometime soon and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

Thanks to all of you for the sweetness and good feelings  I really appreciate the love and send it back in bunches.Can you still perform oral sex?

I've had lots of tonsilitis before, but this one is pretty bad. I'm now on 3,000 mg of antibiotics a day and the urgent care doc wanted to send me to the hospital yesterday. I refused, so he gave me an anti-inflamatory shot and an antibiotic shot and had me wait to see if the swelling would go down (my airway was nearly completely shut off). It started to get better, so he let me go home. Thanks a bunch to A2grafix who was there and took me to see the doc. Get well soon! And don't reject a doctor's advice!  hope you get well soon!!! | |

Thanks to all of you for the sweetness and good feelings I really appreciate the love and send it back in bunches.it was an abcess. ick! funny story -- so i'm in the E.R. because it was over the weekend and i couldn't deal. they had to call in a throat specialist. he explains the procedure. i nod in pained agreement at any cost to make the extreme discomfort end. so after he sticks the giant syringe in the back of my throat, he says to me, "wow. you took that whole thing in your mouth and didn't gag. how did u do that?" i stared blankly at him, thinking, "you're not really asking me this, are you?" and he stared blankly back, awaiting an answer! then i just kinda mumbled, "i don't know," and waited for the drug to kick in!
