I have been here so long that I consider the Org part of my family, I kind of like the attachments I have come to call friends!

I think certain negative thought processes and self-defeating attitudes can be the most dangerous and hardest to break.

I was taught at an early age not to be attached to things or ppl. Neither are around forever...

Though I have been known to get too attached to my dogs....
would not say it is unhealty..at the end of the day I always do what is best for them above myself.

Holding onto that thought process could be seen as an unhealthy attachment by some

It was actually a good lesson. I have been able to live on my own and suport myself because I know at the end of the day- if I was left all alone that I would survive.
I guess being an only child helped with that too.
it is all good as long as you see the good in it and use it to your advantage.

peace!

In the past I've had them to people, but I don't believe I have any right now.

My main unhealthy attachments are simply my main vices, cigarettes and food.

The internet.
I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I was taught that also...I've only ever gotten really attached to one person and had to relearn what I was taught about not getting attached to people or things. but the attchment itself wasn't unhealthy in the least.

ANYway smoking and that's about it.

Food is a big one for me, being Mexican we dont have the healthiest food, a lot of greasy food thats bad for you. And on top of that I love chips, soda, ice cream and candy. I'm trying really hard not to eat this stuff neutral

And holding onto the thought process that allows you to consider that to be an unhealthy attachment could be seen as an unhealthy attachment by some. lol

No attachments here. I am fully aware that everything is ephemeral and am fully prepared to see anything disappear at any time.

Setting aside smoking (which you told me you had to quit) and boozing (which hopefully you'll grow out of before you do any serious damage), you need to read Ann Magnuson's piece about overcoming her bad boy addiction.
