Ehuff & Sister Iona in the Bay Area

Hey Bay Area orgers I'm making the journy to the Holy Land for the High Holy Day of Folsom Street Fair.

I'll know Sister Iona's gate assignment within the next week or so if you stop by and say hi.

Folosom Street Fair?

it is the largest outdoor BDSM/Kink/Leather/Fetish event in the world.
http://www.folsomstreetfair.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/w...treet_Fair

the Sisters are the offical Door Divas of the event.

The annual Folsom Street Fair is held on the last Sunday in September and caps San Francisco's Leather Pride Week. The Folsom Street Fair, sometimes simply referred to as Folsom, is located on Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets, in San Francisco's South of Market district. It was started in 1984 and is the world's largest leather event.

As one of the few occasions when sadomasochistic activities are performed in public, in broad daylight, it attracts a considerable number of sightseers. Although the costumes and activities can be eye-opening, it is as a whole intended to be very peaceful and non-threatening.[1]

The fair annually draws 400,000 visitors[2][3] including kinky leather fans from around the world, and is the third largest street event in California, after the Tournament of Roses Parade and San Francisco Pride parade.[4][5] Each year all proceeds from the Folsom Street Fair, including gate donations and beverage sales, are given to qualified local charities. These include AIDS charities and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The event generates over $250,000 annually for charity.[6]

Since 1997, a smaller event called Folsom Street East has been organized in New York City by GMSMA.[7][4]

Folsom Europe was established in Berlin in 2003 in order to bring the non-profit leather festival concept pioneered by the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco to Europe.[8][4]

Is it a strictly gay/lesbian event?

Or is it a pansexual thing?

Folsom is pansexual. it's little bro Up Your Alley in July tends to be Gay Male centered.

okay...being the prude that i am i have always avoided this beast but somehow i got roped into walking around last year and why oh why did some dude jump/fall off a three story apartment? and folks cheered...i don't know if autoasphyxiation was part of it (there was a nose on the window) or if a partier just fell out the window but whatever the case, the crowd soon realized things were serious when the dude started shaking like a fish out of water. medics weren't playing around and showed up within a minute and whisked him away on a gurney.

i often wonder what became of that dude.

i think super might have been with me. super? super?

Huh. I went a couple years back and it was TAME. lol And it didn't smell of ass any more than the city typically does. Or I'd not be attending twice.
