Urban Exploration Did anyone else read this article in The City section of today's New York Times? http://www.nytimes.com/20...ref=slogin It's about people who go exploring abandoned buildings, subway tunnels etc. Apparently they have these kinds of things in a lot of major cities around the world. Here's one of the websites that is mentioned in the article. Click on locations and read some of those. http://ltvsquad.com/

There was a bunch of controversey about whether or not the accounts in the book were real or not. I can't remember the name.. I'm going to have to try to look for it.

I didn't read the article but the death total in our town is at 5 or 6 over the last few years from this kind of thing. Grain elevators are apparently not the safest place to be when you are drunk. [Edited 7/29/07 19:40pm]

[Edited 7/29/07 19:40pm] yeah...these people don't go stumbling around drunk. I watched a show about people who do this kinda thing a couple of years ago. It's extremely dangerous.

Moderator | It's like hiking, but not.
I'd try it. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

[Edited 7/29/07 19:40pm] yeah...these people don't go stumbling around drunk. Trust me there are plenty of people who have a few drinks and then go out "urban exploring". Even without drinking it's extremely dangerous.
