When a product is packaged well, it will sell

Hence I spent $1.69 for a glass of water....back in the old days, people got water from the tap...but this bottle looked so good, I bought two. How gullable am I?

fiji bottles are great! and the water is good too. i buy one and re-use it w/ brita water for my gym bottle, cuz the plastic is so strong and thick.

Why do you guys buy water? I know it supposed to "taste" better. But wouldn't filtered tap water be just as good?

Do you guys know how wasteful it is to ship Figi water? HUGE cargo carriers have to bring it over here. Let's just say that bottled water is not exactly eco-conscious. Not to mention how much plastic ends up in land fills, because you really can't reuse any of the bottles...some but not most.

I dunno. I will purchase water on occasion, like if I'm at a bar or something, but I find it extremely wasteful and damaging to the environment.

i buy like one or two bottles of fiji a month and refill it every time i go to the gym, with filtered water. my logic is, when i buy a "real" sports bottle, i always end up losing it. so, for me it's smarter to spend $2 on a bottle of fiji and use THAT bottle until i lose it than it is for me to spend $4 - $6 on a "real" gym bottle and have to replace it just as often.

and i dunno. i see your point, but if the fact that my workplace vending machine has bottled water (for cheaper than soda) inspires someone to drink water instead of coke, then i don't see that as a TOTAL waste.

and yeah, i'm sorry - i don't trust what comes out of the tap, and i don't trust my brita pitcher around the people at work. so until we get filtered water from a tap at my office, bottled it is. shrug

I know my view is very SF/California...because we have great tasting tap water (beat out bottled in a taste test) and that many don't have great tasting tap water. But still, I think it's a scam.

We have a bottled water service here at work. Not too expensive. You can always ask them to supply you guys with a bottled water service. shrug

I bought a PUR water filter to save the planet 'n' stuff. It's okay, but I don't like the taste as much as most bottled water. I feel like I can still taste the chemicals.

I have Santa Barbara, California water. I swear it tastes like bleach smells like. As a kid it was unheard of to drink bottled water, unless it was from the "sparkletts guy" Nowadays, you must be crazy to drink our tap.
