Should I Assist?

I browse a number of forums and I was reading a few posts at VideoHelp.com's forum last night...

A frequent topic is "How To Make An AVCD?" which the resident tech-heads never fully explain in simple terms to the newbies....

If you're unaware of what an AVCD is, it's a non-standard CD which plays audio when inserted into a CD Player but acts like a VCD when inserted into a DVD Player. They're fairly uncommon in the West but a lot of Japanese record companies use the format. There's a few on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/se...category0=

Now, I do know how to make the things. I figured it out myself. I made a "Purple Rain Singles" AVCD last year as an experiment. It plays the single edits of the Purple Rain singles when played in a CD player but plays the remixes and B-Sides when inserted into a DVD player. I also put the Purple Rain movie trailer on there.

Well, somebody has asked again at the VideoHelp.com forums and has been given the regular dismissive response of techno-babble. I've looked at the guy's website whom asked and he's amazingly good-looking: http://www.andrewfostermu...mages.html and me being the shallow puff that I am, feels he deserves better because he is yummy...

Now, I could post a step-by-step "How To Make An AVCD" with graphics, but it would take me at least a day and a half to do so. It's not as complicated as you'd probably think - but it's very, very fiddly and time consuming.

My question is this... Would any of you here find a tutorial useful? I'm thinking of making one this Xmas to give to friends and family: Six of my favourite Xmas songs as regular CD tracks, but a roaring log fire when inserted into a DVD Player.

Is anybody interested in this? Maybe those of you in bands or something.
