That happens when someone tries to post and the org hiccups leaving a blank like with NDRU's post. Then it stays highlighted until someone else posts. smile

That would be the official explanation. However, I'm not convinced that it's not Harald Potter practicing his magic here or whatever.

JK Rowling a genius? No. Does she have to be a genius???

I think she's a good writer with a wonderful imagination and her books are lots of fun. Most importantly, kids young and old are reading...one of the most valuable habits a person can form.

Does it need to be "literature" to be good writing? I dunno...I've seen this snobbish, highbrow term apllied to some real slop IMO. While I love authors like Steinbeck and Dickens, I can't get through Hemmingway or Faulkner so go figure... shrug

Somebody please tell me what's the point of bring up the fact that for a brief period she received public assistance? To my knowlege she worked regularly up to that point and during her time of getting benefits it seemes to me she was doing something to improve her circumstances. Isn't that what people getting assistance are supposed to do??? Some people just get off on being mean for no good reason.

Genius or not, the lady had done quite well for herself and I applaud her. I'm off to finish reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows now.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
