I love Michael Vick, and so do kids in the hood.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19961057/

I had a chance to met Vick years back, when he was injured when he came to Dallas. I found Vick to be very community driven, and very pro black. I was shocked that he was so dedicated to helping improve the lives of the black kids in his hometown. However, I as an American I am upset that the FEDS have chosen to waste our time and money on trumped up conspiracy charges against Vick, because Vick told them no already.

Vick's cousin had been in the drug game, and years ago they tried to pin Vick with drug charges at the same property, he told them he aint no nothing about the drugs around 2001. So in 2001 the feds planted informants in this dog fighting circle, however all the feds set up informants who are ex cons and real thugs, unlike Michael Vick in an attempt to set up Michael Vick.

Fast forward to 2006. Feds get a search warrant for drugs at the property, and find the dog stuff, and guess what Michael Vick stands up again to the feds in his day in court and pleads not guilty.

And what do the feds do, they say they are going to pres more charges against Vick, but wait a minute they need more time to get them together. In the mean while, one informant takes a plea deal.

Michael Vick is only guilty of giving back to his community, and the FEDs aint gone have that.

At most Michael Vick will pay a fine, and get probation for gambling. The FEDS are making a case based off criminal informants.

Michael Vick is one hell of an athlete, but lousy when it comes to personal judgement.

I lived in Atlanta and he was always a very nice person at Falcon Public Relations events. Met him at the Barnes & Nobles on Peachtree back in July of 2004. Seemed to have his head on straight in the one minute or so I talked to him.

As a football fan, I hope he can resume his career, but his judgement is questionable.

1) Flipping off fans
2) The Marijuana-water bottle incident at the Miami Int'l airport.
3) The dog dighting charges

Now granted the Federal case is hinged on the testimony of some shady people, but regardless of who they are, because Vick knows of them makes him guilty by association. He does do some nice things for the community (football camp, VT donations), but this is one thing he can't even run from.

SCary thing is is that it is the federal gov't after him and they rarely lose.

Question. Were dog fighting facilities found on property he owned?

One extremely unfortunate thing about the hood is the disregard for animals such that dog fighting is looked upon favorably. The degredation and disregard for animals is the tip of the iceberg.

Homey, you aint from the hood, so fall back. Again that is a racial programming by the media which you have fall victim to. Dog fighting is looked on more favorable in white areas. The world best known dog fighter, and breeder is a white man. Dog fighting was created, and established by white folks. So fall back homey with your pre-programmed assumption. What's next you want to blame hip-hop?

Hood don't turn on family, and nobody snitch to the police. No one in the hood cares what crimes Vick may have or may have not committed, however they do care about his community efforts, and the way he represented himself as a strong man by standing up to the FEDS trumped up charges.

I am TOTALLY not up on what's going on here, but I've got questions.

Are you saying he holds no responsibility for the dog fighting? If not, who is?
What's up with "Pro Black"? He's Black, right? What's Anti-Black? Where does this pro/anti stance place Bill Cosby?

I am upset that the FEDS have chosen to waste our time and money on trumped up conspiracy charges against Vick, because Vick told them no already.

?

he told them he aint no nothing about the drugs around 2001. So in 2001 the feds planted informants in this dog fighting circle

If he wasn't involved in the dog fighting, why would the FBI plant informants (in an attempt to indict Vick) in a dog fighting circle?

however all the feds set up informants who are ex cons and real thugs, unlike Michael Vick in an attempt to set up Michael Vick.

Has this been proven?

Fast forward to 2006. Feds get a search warrant for drugs at the property, and find the dog stuff

lol Way to downplay what they found. thumbs up!

I fail to see how this guy's a victim. He's associating with criminals, at the very least. Poor baby.

I grew up in the ghetto and some of my family still lives in ghetto hoods and having grown up in that environment and especially when I hung out in East LA, there is a disregard for animals to the point where these killer dogs are seen as status symbols and the lack of regard for simple animal life spills over into the lack of regard for each other. Don't tell me to step back.

Mirror? Is that you? The grammar gave me flashbacks.

So the FEDS, as you put it, are out to get pro-black, pro-community players. Do you have an explanation why the other 1231* black players in the NFL who don't own dog fighting rings aren't being attacked?

*The NFL has 1760 players, roughly 70% or 1232 are black. -1 for Vick, leaves 1231 Hey, that's almost 3121! Watch out Prince, the FEDS are coming!
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Homey like I said fall back. You may have grown up in the "ghetto," but from the sounds of it, your views have become twisted about the place you grew up in. So you telling me, people in EAST LA should walk around with poodles? Killer dogs in the hood are seen as a status symbol and also as protection. So what, is there a problem with that?

One thing that has me scratching my head, is that they make this seem like a Fort Knox heist or something on the news coverage. The way they talk about it on tv and the way the papers read, you'd think this guy had stolen a million dollars and committed a double murder on top of it. Not that dog fighting should be taken lightly, but considering how lightly the news takes things like murder sometimes, this is a bit confusing.

If the dogs are getting bred inhumanely (pit bulls, for example) or killed due to scheduled dog fights. Do you disagree?

That being said, I LOVE pit bulls.
