BEVERLY HILLS, California — Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan was busted for DUI early Tuesday for the second time in less than a year.
The 21-year-old actress’ arrest happened about 2:15 a.m. in Santa Monica, Calif., near Pico Boulevard and Main Street, according to gossip site TMZ.com. Lohan checked out of a Malibu rehab center on July 13, after a stay of more than six weeks. She has been wearing an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and receiving therapy ever since. The "Mean Girls" star, who turned 21 on July 2, checked into the swank facility after a wild Memorial Day weekend during which she crashed her Mercedes Benz into a curb, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was photographed slumped in the passenger seat of a friend's car. Just last Thursday, Lohan turned herself in to police to be booked on suspicion of driving under the influence during the Memorial Day weekend car crash, police said. Accompanied by her attorney, Lohan surrendered herself at the Beverly Hills Police Department to be fingerprinted and photographed, said Officer Brian Ballieweg. I feel bad for her. Not that she got arrested - she needs the wake up call...again. But I feel for her that she's such a slave to her addiction and her family bullshit. Of her generation of actresses, she's been my favorite for a few years. Who knows if she'll ever realize her full potential.

You know, I have to agree. Of all the party girls in the news, she's actually got real talent. I hope they all get the help they need, but in particular I'm rooting for her. |

what I don't understand is with all the money that her and Paris Hilton have, why they don't have drivers anyway?? then they could get as wasted as they like

Because they're, like, totally independent. She needs to get OUT of LA for treatment. If Hazelden can clean up Clapton, they can clean up anyone.

I always wondered about this too. I mean, when you have all that money and tons of people that will do whatever you want for you, why do you or would you have to drive? (this coming from someone who got a DUI 9 years ago and hasn't driven since ) "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Unfortunately, these poor excuses for human beings won't get the message until they accidentally kill someone. So tired of folks making excuses for them....its so bad that even if they end up killing someone through their irresponsibility, folks will still be out there saying "oh poor Lindsay"...or "poor little Paris".....its bullshit, plain and simple...if my child pulled some of the stunts these little brainfarts have, my kids would be under the jail..... Well, now you know. I just kept putting off getting my license back because I moved to Holland right after it happened, (where I definitely don't need a car) and then just continued taking buses and cabs everywhere when I was in the States. Now, I'm so used to not driving I can't imagine ever driving again. I like buses, light-rail, bikes, and cabs. Less stress! Well, it's a long story anyway, because they never even sent me to court about it, which was supposed to happen. When I called the DMV and the courthouse about 8 months afterward after hearing NOTHING about it from anyone even though my license was officially revoked, they didn't even have me on file. wtf?! So it was this big mess and I just said "fuck it! I don't want to pay a $400 fine for something I never even had to go to court for because they somehow "lost" my file or whatever..."
