loading analog tapes onto PC

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to load analog tapes or vinyl onto the pc, and if so what equipment do i need and software, thankx

You'll need a sound card with an input plug, and some kind of wave recorder, like Creative Wave Studio (I use that) and of course the right cords.

I have something called TOTAL RECORDER. It cost like $12 on line. You just hook up your stereo to the computer and start recording. It makes it into a wave file which you can then burn on to a cd.

It's going to take 15 years for me to do all of my cassettes and vinyl.

You can get decks with usb for that purpose...dunno how good they are
