Please tell me that this is a virus going around. My hubster is really sick, and I'm starting to worry that it's an isolated problem.


Anyone else gotten sick in the last few weeks?

There is something going around. I have been sick for a week and a half.I started with a sore throat and stuffy nose and then I developed a cough. I feel better now, except I'm still coughing

Oh, and everyone in my family had the same thing about two weeks ago.

I won't tell you about all of the new nasty deadly viruses floating around northern CA right now. We get bulletins every week at the lab I work in.

How close are you to Palo Alto? I'm going to be staying there Saturday night.

Funny thing though, I started getting sick Saturday. Just got a sore throat, but no cough. And I'M the one that smokes!

Dammit! I live right next to Palo Alto, but I'm in email convo right now with my boss to let me have Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon off to go to Big Sur.

It's exciting, as I've never even seen the campus. I'm up for a position there and want to feel the place out and learn my way around before my final interview. If I get it, we'll be neighbors.

Y'know, I might actually be postpoing my tour until next weekend--my friends are on my case about the garlic festival in Gilroy and because it's a full moon, we wanted to visit the bonfire people in the city afterward on Saturday night. We haven't been down there for a full moon since May.

they keep saying on the news if your kid has a temperature to take them to the doc

2 of my kids have temperatures at the moment but I don't want to be taking them to the hospitals in case they catch some killer virus there
