Anyone have a sore throat and cough recently? Please tell me that this is a virus going around. My hubster is really sick, and I'm starting to worry that it's an isolated problem.
Anyone else gotten sick in the last few weeks?

There is something going around. I have been sick for a week and a half.I started with a sore throat and stuffy nose and then I developed a cough. I feel better now, except I'm still coughing
Oh, and everyone in my family had the same thing about two weeks ago. [Edited 7/26/07 9:03am]

I won't tell you about all of the new nasty deadly viruses floating around northern CA right now. We get bulletins every week at the lab I work in.
How close are you to Palo Alto? I'm going to be staying there Saturday night. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

But good, as in, like in the other thread, I immediately start thinking he's got throat cancer or something. haha Funny thing though, I started getting sick Saturday. Just got a sore throat, but no cough. And I'M the one that smokes!

It's okay, I'd be hurting someone's feelings if I just took off to see someone else while I was visiting. It's bad enough I won't be around most of that afternoon because I'm touring Stanford. Hope you get those days off. Big Sur! Never been. And seriously, you don't need to know. Anything interesting I want to say on the subject is confidential anyway. If you really care that much, Google "Chagas Disease", and "West Nile mutations". Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I live about a mile and a half away from Stanford....check out Santa Cruz Ave. in Menlo Park, and downtown Palo Alto.

I won't be very good company hopping around everywhere, but I'll compensate for it another weekend. It's exciting, as I've never even seen the campus. I'm up for a position there and want to feel the place out and learn my way around before my final interview. If I get it, we'll be neighbors. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Plus, I'd get to stalk Miguel with more vigor. [Edited 7/26/07 11:07am] Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I don't know whether to be frightened or excited. Agh, they're one and the same.
Y'know, I might actually be postpoing my tour until next weekend--my friends are on my case about the garlic festival in Gilroy and because it's a full moon, we wanted to visit the bonfire people in the city afterward on Saturday night. We haven't been down there for a full moon since May. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

2 of my kids have temperatures at the moment but I don't want to be taking them to the hospitals in case they catch some killer virus there
