I had a Mac, paid $3000 for it.

6 months in the sound went out on it.

Found out every component is hardwired into the motherboard and individual components are not covered under warranty.

1 small error and I got a $3000 doorstop.

And their ads are just plain misleading. Most of the gripes they have about PCs are either untrue or the same as on a Mac!
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Don't think it's crap at all, I just prefer Windows.

This year though, I'm getting a Mac for Leopard, which looks so good. Having run Vista for 8 months now and Windows in general since 98, I figure why the hell not. lol

Macs are not the end all be all. They have issues too as well as the color wheel of death! The are "less glitchy" than PC's, however as you said everything is hardwired in. I always recommend a 3 yr warranty on any computer/component purchase because one normally will have probalems about 2 years into ownership.

My next computer will be a Mac Book Pro.

I would like to reiterate the iPod meets every expectation I have for it. Even the iPod shuffles work well.

A warranty is needed here and really on any product with a lithium based internal battery. They have a built in life span of about a year.

Apple has even admitted they designed the iPod to last 1 year.

I think we need to know what type of computer you have. You say Apple Mac, but what is it exaclty? Duo COre, Mac Book, iMac? WHen did you get it? Much of your trouble sounds like a video card problem. I would imagine that if you have an older machine, that could be the reason for your issues. You may need to install the Operating System.

That makes perfect sense as they come out with new ones and phase out the older ones about twice a year.

I'll never own an iPod.
