So, you're moving to England... we need to know a few things before you go: 1. Can you swim? You seem to need this in England recently what with the heavy rains. Yes I sure can..I have lived in Florida most of my life- gotta be prepared for hurricane season. 2. Are you bringing a raft? Same reason. packed hehe not really..left my pool supplies back with the pool I used to own. 3. Is Phil coming to pick you up at the airport by car or boat? He is flying to Florida to get me and take me back home by plane. Luckily he is high and dry where he is at...so far. Awww, how sweet of him to come take you home Now, one last question... is the plane for the ride home a hydroplane?

I love Thai, Chinese and Indian..none of which I can get good around where I live now. I guess it will be a good trade off. Carrie said she enjoyed the junk food in England so I will survive. aside from steaks i find the food in the US atrocious in comparison to the UK and Europe. Same.

I think I am more likely to pick up the phrases and wording of certain things before I get the accent. I do have a few words that I over emphasize with the accent just to mock him...it will be my luck that I end up saying those words with an accent.

It sure is sweet- he has been here to see me enough that now my co-workers, family and friends want to say goodbye to him too. I also have a few friends that he has yet to meet so we will all get together before I leave. We are flying British Airways..have to with the dog. [Edited 7/26/07 3:25am]

This always happens to me when I move to a new place with a distinct regional dialect/accent. I think you just pick up on the rhythm of how people talk and you start to emulate it. Next thing you know, you're on the phone with your parents and they're like "put my daughter on the phone!!!" ANYWAY... So what's the deal with curries over there? They say there's nothing for veggies to eat in England, but if curries are cheap and easy to come by, I'd be happy as a little tofu clam.

I would say the same of your choice in England mate. You obviously don't know where to go. But then again sweeping judgements are often way off beam when we look below the surface huh? I do have to say that one of the best fast food burgers I had was at the Burger King in Picadilly Circus. As far as burgers from a fast food chain, that one was the best.
Good Meat!!!! I'm so excited for both of you!!!!! [Edited 7/26/07 11:38am] MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! We want cigar puffing men that look like they wanna beat the living daylights out of us" Val"sporking is spooning with benefits"

All funniness aside..I really feel for the ppl that had their houses and businesses flooded. I have seen it and experienced it living here in Florida and it is no fun.
